Master
(Master of Science)

ITTM has been specifically tailored for engineering students looking to commence a career in management. By facilitating a student's understanding of management duties and procedures, the two year Master's programme will enable graduates to immediately commence work at companies operating at an international level.

Students benefit from the academic and practical experience of the lecturers as well as multiple collaboration opportunities bbw enjoys with partnering German firms. Project-based learning activities, where students work on real-life projects designated by local businesses, ensure the ITTM programme has a uniquely practical relevance for students from the outset.

The bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences also offers the Work Placement Training programme that has been specifically designed to guide international students towards immediate employment within Germany. The complete offering allows students to graduate with a solid grounding of the German language combined with the ability to manage technology transfer processes in international environments.

The programme coincides with a period of compulsory internship in the third semester of the course. Where students do not find an internship position, the university also offers optional intensive training programmes with partnering EU firms and institutes. In certain cases, the university can also help support EU-wide internships with Erasmus+.

Students and Their Internship

I am Rutwik Hrushikesh Godse from Pune, India. I am pursuing my masters at the bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences in Berlin. Currently in the third semester of International Technology Transfer Management. Reason for choosing this course is simple yet life defining. This course offers me a perfect blend of Technology and Management. The bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences offers international students a mind boggling exposure. The students are welcomed and helped to grow. How does the university achieve this? Well I might be the answer. I feel proud to be the Vice President of the Student Parliament of this university. The staff is not only highly qualified but also very helpful and caring. Solely merit defines what you get here and nothing else comes in the way. The university also enables its students to have a hands on experience by including mandatory internships in its courses. Guess what I am an intern in one of Germany's biggest conglomerates, Siemens AG. My role is of a Plant test engineer. My duties include System testing and Product Management working in Agile management. Working with the world's leading developers in their own country speaking their own language is the stand out feature of this opportunity. It goes without saying that this wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't for my university. University's faithful actions and my positive attitude have brought me where I am today.

I am currently in the third semester for International Technology Transfer Management. I am doing my internship at Continental Automotive GmbH, located in Regensburg. I am working in infotainment, product management and sales department. Now I am dealing with two softwares, SPOT and SAP, for the demand planning. I am also working on logistic planning. I like the bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences, it gave me the opportunity for my Master's study. The degree program International Technology Transfer Management is very good, because in this course we learned many subjects. It includes a variety of fields like project management, logistic and for example international business law. Because of that I am able to work in different areas. I feel very well that I got the chance to work with a reputed company. Lastly I want to say that success is no accident. It is hard work, learning, sacrifice and most of all it is love of what you are doing or learning to do.

Graduates about Their Final Degree

I am very pleased to announce completion of my master's degree at the bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences, Berlin. During this unfortunate situation of corona virus pandemic, the bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences reacted very quickly and conducted the master thesis defense using online platform. The Q&A session was conducted similar to email conversation on this online platform. This was the first time when I was doing my exams in such a way. One thing I want suggest to the bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences is that, Skype meetings would have given better chance to students for defending their thesis. But given the timeframe was too short, the bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences did a good job to organise things logistically and help students complete their degree without any delay as per scheduled programme. In short, I had a very good experience during my studies as well as this final exam at the bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences.

Statements of Students

Hi, I am Mrinalini Mehta. I am from New Delhi, India and currently pursuing Masters in International Technology Transfer Management (ITTM). I chose Germany to be the destination for my Master studies as this country is a land of opportunities. The most inspiring part being: how enthusiastic this country is to support it's national and international students in every possible way! Be it the financial support, students' discounts, free access to wifi, reduced tickets and so on. Seems like Germany doesn't want to let anything to stop the youth from progressing. Choosing bbw Hochschule for ITTM, was one of the prudent steps I took, as this course is a sprouting branch for several fields relating to Technology Transfer, which is going to be the next big thing on the platform of Globalization very soon. Working hard here at the bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences, I wish to build my carrier in the field of Technology Transfer, and go ahead further in technology transfer of space technologies, i.e., from technologies designed for space to commercial market and vice versa. I also hope that someday, I can go back to my country, which is still in developing phase, and establish strong and amicable relations between Germany and India for mutual progress through technology transfer.

Mrinalini Mehta

Having completed my Bachelors in Mechanical engineering from India and gaining a year's worth of experience in the field of Supply chain Management I decided to join the ITTM course at the bbw hochschule - University of Applied Sciences for my Masters. Having gained a sound knowledge about the technicalities of the Logistics field i wanted to explore the likes of Project management. The course is a perfect combination of technology and management. This course offered an array of fields to choose from in the period of 2 years and helped me achieve my Internship and Thesis goals at Volkswagen AG. The professors and guest lecturers provided not only academic but also industry approach to each subject which is what makes this university different. They literally help you after lecture hours and are readily available to solve any queries via Email at anytime. I am eternally grateful to all the teaching and non teaching staff from the bbw hochschule - University of Applied Sciences to help mould my career and providing me a stepping stone in joining as a Logistics Specialist at Gilbarco GmbH as a full time employee in Germany.
