"You can't not communicate" is the famous quote by communication scientist Paul Watzlawick for interpersonal communication. Companies are also social systems that cultivate communication relationships with various stakeholders and society in order to be able to operate successfully in the market.

The study programme in Corporate Communications deals with communication management between internal and external stakeholders, such as employees, customers, journalists and business partners. The stakeholder-oriented approach to corporate management deals with how companies can build trust and bind customers to the organization. How do companies use social media networks to increase brand awareness?

In addition to Social Media Management, the course deals with the topics of Corporate Social Responsibility, Brand Management, Internal Communication as well as strategies for coping with internal and external crises. The course takes up current trends of digitalization and artificial intelligence (AI) in corporate communications and discusses the influence on different organizations and society.

By studying Corporate Communications at bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences in Berlin, our students receive the title Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).

3 years or 6 semesters - 1.800 hours | Approx. 6 weeks of vacation are scheduled annually.

Admission Requirements

Entry qualification

  • General (Abitur) or specialised (Fachhochschulreife) academic entry certificate, or
  • a professional certificate suitableor
  • a certificate as a master craftsman, state-examined technician or state-examined business administrator.
For support via
the e-learning platform, the technical precondition is access to an internet-capable computer.

For international applicants
German language certificate: language level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference.
