Bachelor
(Bachelor of Engineering)

From an early stage in their career, engineers need to manage finances and managers need to deal with technologies. Business Management and Engineering at bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences combines these two fields. Industrie 4.0 revolutionises manufacturing and production and opens the door to an age of "smart industry" in which people, devices, objects, and systems are combined to form dynamic, self-organising networks of production. It connects innovative embedded system production technologies with smart production processes to pave the way to a new industrial age, which will radically transform industry and production value chains and business models in tomorrow's smart factories. An increase of manufacturing productivity by up to 50 percent - using half the amount of current required resources, is expected. The demands on managers have become very diverse in both small and medium-sized companies. Tasks such as planning and organization of operational processes, the coordination of work processes and personnel management, right through to budget preparation and control show that today, operational management is looking for qualified generalists to an above-average extent. At the same time, a corresponding depth of knowledge is also expected in technical issues. The combination of generalist and specialist in one person is a crucial basis for the professional success of managers. By choosing the "Business Management and Engineering" course, you lay the foundation as an interdisciplinary industrial engineer.
