Current Information Winter Semester 2021/22

Dear students and prospective students,

The new winter semester has started. In principle, we will conduct the face-to-face classes hybrid, i.e. all lectures that take place at the university will be transmitted via Webex. You have the choice and can attend the lectures online or live on site. To make this possible, we have equipped our seminar rooms with the appropriate technology and offered training for the lecturers. However, we will continue to offer some of the lectures exclusively via Webex.

We are excited to see how the new form of teaching and learning is received by you and look forward to your feedback.

Our primary goal was and is to do everything possible to enable you to study in the standard period of study.

Please note: according to the current regulations, you can only enter the university if you have been vaccinated, recovered or tested. Testing will only be available free of charge to a small number of people from 11 October 2021. Once again, we would like to join the appeal of the Governing Mayor of Berlin and sincerely ask you all - if you have not already done so - to take advantage of the many vaccination offers in Berlin. Our colleagues in the administration will be happy to help you.

See you soon!

Your university management
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Gebhard Hafer, Rector
Prof. Dr. Beate Schultz-Zehden, Vice Rector Teaching

Information on Studying During the Corona Pandemic

In accordance with the Infection Protection Measures Ordinance and the Berlin Step-by-Step Plan, all of Berlin's higher education institutions are partially conducting their teaching activities in attendance mode again from the winter semester onwards. Only those who can prove that they have been vaccinated, tested or have recovered have access to the university. Within the university, it is compulsory to wear a mask (OP mask or FFP2). This also applies within the framework of courses. The seminar rooms, as well as all other areas of the university, are regularly ventilated and disinfected. Disinfectants for cleaning hands are available. Please also ensure that the rooms are adequately ventilated during your lectures.

Notes on Handling the Coronavirus

Studying in Times of Corona

In the course of the Corona Pandemic, bbw Hochschule Berlin has had to convert lectures, exams, services and consultations to online formats. And since the summer semester 2020, with success! This enables our students to complete their studies within the standard period of study without any loss of time and gives prospective students an up-to-date insight into university life.

In order to continue to support prospective students in choosing a suitable degree programme and to provide you with an up-to-date insight, we have compiled various services and information on our online teaching and digital formats. Events, such as information events, study counselling or taster lectures, which were previously held in attendance, have been converted and are now offered as online events. Take a virtual tour of our university, register for an online taster lecture or use our online study counselling service.

You can find more information on our digital offer and impressions of our online teaching here .
