Looking Back at Our Graduation Ceremony: A Day Full of Pride, Inspiration, and New Perspectives

On May 16, the time had come: the festive graduation ceremony took place at the Auditorium Friedrichstraße. It was a meaningful day for our graduates, their families, friends, and the entire university team.

Even before the event officially began, a sense of excited anticipation filled the air: gowns were laid out, the hall gradually filled with guests looking forward to a celebratory afternoon. Our graduates prepared for their big moment and the official completion of their studies.

The ceremony was opened by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Robert Dust, President of bbw University of Applied Sciences, who honored the achievements of the graduates in his address and sent them off into the next stage of their lives with personal and heartfelt words. He reminded everyone: "Your degree is not just a testament to your academic performance, but also proof of your determination, perseverance, and belief in yourself."

Following this, keynote speaker Eugen Shashkou, CEO of Primelephants GmbH, captivated the audience with an inspiring insight into his own career path. In his motivational speech, he emphasized that a career doesn't have to follow a straight line, but rather demands courage: "You don't have to be perfect to be successful - but brave enough to take the first step." He encouraged the graduates to pursue their goals, seize opportunities, and see challenges as a chance for personal growth.

Musical accompaniment was provided by Simon Paterno, whose performances added a special atmosphere to the celebration.

Outstanding students from each program and graduating class were honored for their exceptional achievements. A particularly moving moment came during the thank-you speech on behalf of all graduates: Lina Maria Woo Martinez, graduate of the Master's program in Strategic Management in Logistics, spoke with deep appreciation about the shared time at university and the strong sense of community within the cohorts.
