New Rector for bbw University of Applied Sciences!

As of April 1, 2024, Prof. Robert Dust assumed the position of rector at the bbw University of Applied Sciences. In a celebratory setting, the official presentation of the appointment certificate took place on April 16. Prof. Dust brings with him extensive experience and expertise from his longstanding career in industry and academia to his new role.

We would like to express our gratitude to our longstanding rector, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Gebhard Hafer, for his dedication and significant contributions during his twelve-year tenure at the bbw University of Applied Sciences. Under his leadership, the university successfully underwent three institutional accreditations and two system accreditations, established master's programs and associated research as integral parts of the institution, and internationalized the university through English-language study programs. Prof. Hafer will continue his tenure at the bbw University, teaching as a professor of Strategic Management in Logistics.

Christian Amsinck, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, extends his appreciation to Prof. Hafer for his successful work and wishes Prof. Dust every success in his new role: "I am confident that the bbw University of Applied Sciences will continue its path of success under Prof. Dust's leadership."
