Matriculation ceremony: We welcome our new Bachelor and Master students for the winter semester.

Following the matriculation of this year's part-time students in September, the welcoming ceremony for full-time students took place on Tuesday, 09 October 2018. Due to the pleasingly high number of around 300 new arrivals, a second reception was held at the bbw University in addition to the traditional opening ceremony in the Haus der Wirtschaft. Our national students were welcomed at the Haus der Wirtschaft by the Rector of the bbw University, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hafer, while the international students were received by the Chancellor, Ms Traemann, at the bbw University. Both the managing director of the university carrier company bbw academy, Dr. Andreas Forner, and the anchor professors, the coworkers of the university team, the studying Parlamanet as well as the international Office were locally around the new studying welcome to welcome and with them to introduce themselves.

Nearly 80 students want to start their studies and over 200 new students were enrolled for a Bachelor's degree. Most Bachelor students will be working towards their degrees in economics over the next six semesters. Here the specializations lie in the Health Management, Trade Management, Real Estate Management, Media Management, Fashion Management and in Tourism and Eventmanagement. Other studying decided for the course of studies Business Communication or start the dual engineer-scientific course of studies of Electrical Engineering with the specialization Electrical Engineering specialisation in Control and Safety Engineering as well as in the new specialization Electrical Engineering specialisation in Catenary and Railway Power Supply.

International Technology Transfer Management is again the Master's programme with the highest number of newly enrolled students. Nevertheless, the Master's programmes Real Estate Project Management, Management of Creative Industries and Strategic Management in Logistics are also very popular. The bbw University is delighted to be able to launch the Master's programme in Business Sciences with the elective areas of Health Management, Green Business Management and, for the first time, the new elective area of International Business Management.

The bbw University welcomes all newly enrolled students and wishes them an exciting and successful study period. The entire university team as well as the professors are happy to provide advice and assistance and support the bbw university's new students in order to meet the expectations of a great study period.
