We've collected financing tips for students in the points below: from BAföG and student loans to grants. You can also find information on the current tuition fees.
You can find the monthly tuition fees for our Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes on the corresponding programme pages in the facts box under Fees. In the case of a dual study programme, the training company pays your tuition fees.
The self-financing option means that students bear the costs of the tuition fees themselves. The bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences offers students the option of paying these fees in monthly instalments.
Following the landmark decision in 2002 by the Federal Fiscal Court, the costs of further and advanced training are now deductible as professional expenses. Participants in further education or courses already with completed qualifications may claim the tuition fees as professional or exceptional expenses if the measure is demonstrably job-related.
German students may claim funding for courses at the bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences just as at state universities according to the Bundesausbildungsförderungsgesetz (Federal Training Assistance Act). The allowance is granted based on income and assets. The BAföG calculator is available free via the hotline 0180 5262301 (0.12 EUR/Min).
There are also funding options for international students. The responsible BAFöG office can inform you of the necessary requirements. The determining factor for applications is the university location, not the place of residence.
Full-time students at the bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences can make use of the student and education loans offered by the KfW bank via the 'Education Loan' Federal Programme. Applications can be made via any of the KfW bank's nationwide representative distribution partners:

In spite of BAföG, studentships and assistance of parents it is not warranted that students have enough money available after their studies. A side job often delay the final degree or it is even impossible. Here the 65 old concept of student loan payment of the students loan society e.V. tie in with that: with that student loan payment the students of the berliner member universitys do not need to worry about the financial part. They can put all their energy into a successful final degree.
Independent of age, BAföG, earning, nationality and the numbers of semesters the Daka assigns students loan society for a maxium of three years. The monthly installment amount to 750 EUR. In the subsequent repayment-free period of six months the students could consecrate theirself to job applications, completely without payment pressure. The combination of financial assistance within the studies, time buffer for the search of a good employment and moderate back payment periods go down well.
On the
DAKA Webseite the application is demonstrate.
In addition to student financing via BAföG, grants are also an excellent option to fund further study. Depending on the structure of the grant, you can benefit from the ideal financial support.
The Aufstiegsstipendium grants from the Federal Government's qualifications initiative aim to make access to universities and career advancement easier for those with vocational qualifications. Talented students with vocational training and at least 2 years of professional experience can apply and thus receive, as an example, 1,700 Euro per year for an extra-occupational course. The Federal Ministry of Education and Research also supports the scholarship schemes offered by various associations.
