The financial support of Erasmus mobilities for teaching purposes is guided by the various costs-of-living levels in the target countries (“programme countries”). Support by German institutes of higher education is subject to uniform daily rates.
Since the project year 2014, the following daily rates have applied in Germany for four country groups up to the 15th day of sojourn; for the 15th to 60th day of a visit, support extends to 75% of the above-mentioned daily rates:
- Group 1: EUR 160 per day for Denmark, the UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Sweden
- Group 2: EUR 140 per day for Belgium, Bulgaria, Finland, France, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, Norway, Austria, Poland, Romania, Czech Republic, Turkey, Hungary, Cyprus
- Group 3: EUR 120 per day for Germany (incomers), Lithuania, Malta, former Yugoslav republic of Macedonia, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain
- Group 4: EUR 100 per day for Estonia, Croatia, Latvia, Slovenia
Depending on the sojourn and the distance, the following amounts are refunded:
- EUR 180 for 100 km - 499 km
- EUR 275 for 500 km - 1.999 km
- EUR 360 for 2.000 km - 2.999 km
- EUR 530 for 3.000 km - 3.999 km
- EUR 820 for 4.000 km - 7.999 km
- EUR 1,100 for 8.000 km and more
