The university management of the bbw Hochschule is made up of the Chancellor, the Rector and three Vice Rectors. The members of the Rectorate were elected by the Academic Senate.
The Rector is responsible for managing the academic staff. Furthermore, he is responsible for representative tasks and the orientation of teaching and research.
The Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Teaching ensures, among other things, the orderly conduct of courses and all examination procedures at the university. In addition, she is the deputy to the Rector Prof. Dr.-Ing. Robert Dust in academic matters.
The Vice Rector for Research is responsible for the development and implementation of research projects at the university and ensures the transfer of research content into teaching.
The Vice Rector for Further Academic Education is responsible for the development of academic continuing education programs for companies and professionals and ensures the orderly implementation of academic continuing education programmes at the university.

The Chancellor is responsible for the management of the administration and is a member of the Rectorate. He is the supervisor of the non-academic staff and is responsible for the budget, legal and other administrative tasks.
