Study Information
The study programme takes place in cooperation with the BBA Akademie der Immobilienwirtschaft e.V. Berlin, one of the leading German academies in the housing and real estate industry.
The training provided by the BBA to become a real estate agent (IHK) runs over three years or two years parallel to the studies at the bbw Hochschule.
You are therefore formally within the training (training company and vocational school) and at the same time a student at the bbw Hochschule. The commencement of studies begins at the start of the training. The academic training takes place on the premises of the bbw Hochschule, the theoretical vocational training on the premises of the BBA and the practical vocational training in the companies.
The study programme is divided into basic and specialised studies. The degree programmes are modular in structure. The basic studies focus on study orientation, epistemology and personality development. In addition, current topics with international economic and management references and ethical aspects form the foundation of the economics degree programmes. While the basic study programme focuses on basic knowledge of economics, the special study programme exclusively teaches study content relevant to professional fields and industries.
The training content of the vocational training provider is partially integrated into the study modules, so that in some modules the teaching of the subject content extends over more than one semester. All modules conclude with an academic performance examination. Consequently, the competences acquired within the vocational training school as well as the competences taught within the teaching of the modules at the bbw Hochschule are examined at academic level.
The studies at the bbw Hochschule run parallel to the training and practical phases in the company.
The dual study programme at the bbw Hochschule is characterised by the perfect combination of theory and practice. Thanks to the proven partially integrated study programme, students can apply their acquired theoretical knowledge directly in the company and familiarise themselves with its special features at an early stage.
