Within the framework of the
DAAD project "Ukraine digital", bbw University of Applied Sciences supports students and teachers of the Ukrainian State University of Railway Transport to continue their studies digitally and to maintain a digital teaching offer.
The program also provides up to 15 scholarships for Ukrainian students who have been particularly affected by the war.
Due to Russia's war of aggression, universities in Ukraine are severely limited in their functionality. Maintaining teaching is challenged by the fact that buildings and infrastructure in Ukrainian cities are damaged or destroyed, and local teachers are no longer available because they are on the run or on military duty. Despite the destruction, the Ukrainian universities are trying to maintain a digital teaching programme. In this regard, bbw University of Applied Sciences offers help to refugee Ukrainian teachers in their teaching activities and in continuing their academic careers.
The programme line "Ukraine digital: Ensuring academic success in times of crisis" aims to ensure that students in Ukraine have a perspective for completing their studies despite the restrictions imposed by the war by awarding scholarships. bbw University of Applied Sciences awards a total of 65 scholarships to students of the Ukrainian State University of Railway Transport who are unable to continue their studies due to the Russian war of aggression.
