Mobility is of great importance both for individuals and for the industry in economic transportation. The technological possibilities of transportation are constantly evolving, just as the demands on mobility and transport are changing. The demographic effect, climate change, and digitalization are the driving forces behind political, economic, and technological developments towards future-proof, sustainable mobility. These complex requirements also lead to tensions and conflicts between different interest groups. In particular, the metropolitan region of Berlin-Brandenburg provides a daily experience of these challenges. Therefore, suitable and intelligent mobility solutions will be in high demand in the future.
The Master's program in Mobility Management aims to prepare graduates to plan and implement the transportation systems of the future. Based on technical and economic fundamentals of the transportation and mobility industries, the program places particular emphasis on innovative concepts (e.g., electromobility), methods, and skills in innovation and change management. Furthermore, we can leverage an excellent network of experts from companies and associations in Berlin, ensuring a high level of practical orientation for the program.
The Master's program in Mobility Management is designed for students who want to build a broad foundation of knowledge in the mobility industry. This will not only give them the opportunity to specialize in various subfields later on but also to understand the complex overall system and drive its successful implementation forward.
The program spans four semesters. During the first two semesters, students must complete six modules, followed by four modules in the third semester. Additionally, in the third semester, students are required to conduct a study aimed at transferring their acquired knowledge into practical application, ideally in collaboration with a company. The focus of the final semester is on the preparation and defense of the master's thesis.
