The winners of the poster competition have been chosen

The award ceremony for the poster competition held at the end of December crowned six lucky winners among all the applicants. The students Vipul Hemantkumar Patil, Shreyas Chandrashekar, Maria Margarita Cabrera Frias, Satnam Sandhu Singh, Digvijay Dilip Bhujbal and Dennis Spenst were able to convince the jury, consisting of Prof. Dr. Malte Behrmann, Prof. Dr. Anne Sanftenberg and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thomas Zahn, with their posters. The prize was a voucher worth 200. Due to the pandemic, the award ceremony could not take place at the bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences, so the winners received their certificates and vouchers by post.

In 2020 the fib Research Institute launched the poster competition to build a stronger connection between research and teaching at the bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences. The poster competition took place for the 3rd time in cooperation with the fib Research Institute of the bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences. Application was open to students of the bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences with their study, bachelor's or master's thesis in the form of a poster up to 31 November 2021. The students had the opportunity to send their self-designed posters by e-mail to the fib Research Institute using the bbw poster template. After the application was closed, the jury evaluated the submitted posters based on the criteria of content, appearance and expression. Each jury member was allowed to award a maximum of five points per criterion, so the students could receive a maximum of 45 points for their poster. To win, a minimum score of 25 points was enough. Among all the applicants, six achieved this minimum score and thus successfully completed the poster competition.

The next poster competition is already in the waiting positions, the application deadline for the coming winter semester is set for the end of April 2022. The new winners will then be crowned in the summer. Applications can now be sent by e-mail to fib@bbw-hochschule.de or suggested on our Moodle learning platform by the relevant professor in the lecturers' forum.

Congratulations to the winners! The winners' posters will be presented on the 2nd floor of the bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences as the "bbw Science Exhibition".
