Marked by the 10th anniversary, the students from the most varied disciplines design their study rooms to be able to inform the curious about the length of studies, specialisations, placements and perspectives after the course, etc. The students from Economic Communication equipped an imaginary photographer's studio, whereas the trade managers attracted people with nibbles from their delegating companies.
The administrative employees of the bbw University of Applied Science furnished their offices with information flyers and freebies so that they could answer questions about studies thoroughly and at first hand and possibly conclude study agreements with potential new students - after all, several people did take the opportunity to do so.
What was new was that two companies from the tourism sector (visit Berlin and Colibri Travel) were present with presentation stands to provide advice on the dual curriculum (Tourism and Event Management). They advised pupils and their parents on the slightly different application procedure for a dual course and issued invitations from their companies.
In total 159 school-leavers, apprentices and people wanting to change their course made use of the opportunity to find out more and receive advice. 50 % came from Berlin, whereas the rest of the visitors came from Hamburg, Augsburg, Cottbus and Heidelberg. All agreed that the students and their professors gave a professional presentation, freely answered all of the questions and offered good advice. The visitors unanimously praised the pleasant atmosphere in the building and the modern and friendly design of the rooms. The roof terrace with the building's cafeteria, offering a hot and cold buffet, was also praised.
In summary - a very successful day.
