Match-Making Mind of the Research Project HLaN

The employees of the fib Research Institute and our research project HLaN organized a unique match making event with pitch and networking character on April 11, 2019 in the HIS Showroom, at the Schillertheater 4. About 40 CEOs of start-ups of the healthcare industry as well as representatives of various health insurance companies took part in the event.

The aim of the event was to win new project partners for the HLaN research project (both among the start-ups and among the health insurance companies) and to further raise awareness of the project. Another goal was to enable networking and matchmaking between the start-ups and health insurance companies. At the beginning of the event, the representatives of the health insurance companies received a document about all the start-ups taking part. After a short presentation on the HLaN research project by Prof. Thomas Zahn, head of the fib research institute at bbw University, the start-ups presented themselves to the participants in the form of pitches. The cash registers should mark here on the handed out document whether they have interest in the respective presenting start-ups. After the first introduction round a Networking Time was inserted, in which all guests could exchange themselves with Snacks. Afterwards a second introduction round of the remaining start-ups was installed in order to end the event with a second networking time.

The result of the event is a monitorable matrix with the interest of the respective health insurance companies in the respective startup. On the basis of the results, we exchanged contact data and suggested an exchange between the two potential partners. In six weeks the result of the negotiations between the interested partners will be asked.
