Interview with Prof. MacConnell
Last week we met Prof. Oliver MacConnell, Professor of Fashion Management, and interviewed him about online teaching. He gave us exciting insights into his experiences with online teaching and answered our questions very honestly.
In one of our digitally and well-equipped lecture rooms, he told us how he felt about online teaching in the past semester, what the students' involvement in the lectures is like, how his lectures have changed since the Corona Pandemic, what advantages he sees in online teaching and what he personally learned from the conversion of teaching to online formats.
Prof. MacConnell also had great respect for the change in teaching at the beginning. What he took away from the past online semester is that you don't have to be afraid of changes and mistakes, but should simply adapt to the new situation. After his initial reservations from the summer semester quickly subsided, he can now say that he is very much looking forward to another upcoming online semester.
