University Cooperation with Georgia goes into the next Round

After a joint exchange workshop in the summer another virtual meeting between the Georgian National University SEU, the bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences, the PUSH Startup Center and the management of the bbw Group took place on Tuesday 16th November 2021. Even though a face-to-face meeting was not possible due to the pandemic the virtual meeting was very successful in setting the course for further cooperation.

Both educational institutions would like to learn from each other in the future through exchange of experience, mutual visits and joint projects and also give their students the chance to benefit from study visits and joint courses. For example the SEU is currently preparing to set up its own Business Lab and is being supported in this by colleagues from the PUSH Startup Center.
In addition a cooperation agreement will enable mutual exchange and recognition opportunities for students and work on collaborative degree programmes. The workshop was conducted on the Georgian side by the vice rectors Anna Phirtskhalashvili and Giorge Ghavtadze and the head of the International Relations Office Maka Kuchava.

On the part of the bbw Group the Chief Executive Officer Dr. Sascha J. Flemnitz, bbw University Rector Prof. Dr. Gebhard Hafer, bbw University Chancellor Ursula Schwill, Prorector Prof. Dr. Uwe Kaschka, Anchor Professor Prof. Dr. Tanja Mansfeld, as well as the heads of the PUSH Startup Center Christian Grosser and Mirco Dragowski took part. The event is another step in a longer-term planned cooperation between the SEU and the bbw Group which hopefully can be further deepened through mutual visits after the pandemic. The personal meetings in Berlin and Tbilisi are an integral part of further planning.
