About us Quality Management
Quality management is one of the fundamental principles of our university processes. The university's good performance is secured through a system of continuous internal and external evaluation and through the involvement of the students. All our degree courses at the bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences have been accredited.
Since its foundation, the bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences has been included in the certified Quality Management system of the bbw group, a system which has been audited several times by CERTQUA. This provides a functional framework for the university to set strategic objectives which combine high academic standards and a strong vocational orientation with the required procedures for Quality Assurance and Quality Development.
As well as the quantitative aspect of the provision of urgently needed university places for young academics, it is above all qualitative objectives which characterise the identity of the university. Quality management is embedded in the mission statement of the bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences as a core objective - as a constant process of Quality Assurance and Quality Development.
The continuous utilisation of formalised Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems and their further development, as well as the transparent documentation of procedures and results, forms a basis for securing the good performance of the university.
The bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences takes its lead from the "Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG)" - both in relation to formal procedure in the development, execution and further development of its degree courses, carried out on the basis of the results of evaluation and audits, and in the securing of quality in its teaching staff and in the support and guidance offered to students.
Quality of provision at the university comes about through the commitment shown by each and every individual. To call for and to foster this commitment represents an important challenge for us. For this reason, all those groups involved - our teaching staff, our students and our administrative staff, as well as our external consultants and experts from other universities and from the world of business - are actively involved in the further qualitative development of the university and its degree courses.
