Impressionen vom Online Tag der offenen Tür der bbw Hochschule

On Saturday 19 June, the second open campus day this year took place. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the open day was held virtually for a second time. Various virtual rooms were available to participants via WebEx from 9 am to 2 pm. In addition to general student advice, additional course-specific presentations were offered by the anchor professors of bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences. Prospective students could easily attend their desired presentation with just one click and without having to register.

All participants whose interests lie specifically in Economics and Business Management were provided with presentations from the fields of fashion, health, corporate communications, real estate, media and events, ecommerce and human resources. The field of Engineering was represented with course-specific presentations on electrical engineering and mechanical engineering. For those who already have their Bachelor's degree and are aiming for a further degree, they were provided with information on our Master's degree programmes. The Venice study location was also presented at the open campus day and the event's presenters illustrated what the location has to offer and what studying in Venice could look like.

The interest in the current online teaching was particularly high among the prospective students and was one main subject of many events. The professors demonstrated the possibilities of online teaching and how the courses are structured. The professors used examples to give the participants insights into their online teaching.

During the general student counselling, questions about the study process, everyday study life and financing options were clarified. Many participants were also informed about the application process, which has taken place online at bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences since last year. Concerns about the start of the semester at the time of the Corona pandemic were quickly dispelled. In the course of the Corona pandemic, bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences converted all lectures, examinations, services and counselling to online formats and will continue to offer the lectures in hybrid study form in the future. In this way, bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences enables students to complete their studies in the standard period of study without losing any time.
