Dr. Karl Pilny explains the diverse economic and cultural characteristics of Asia as a business location and how European companies should react to them in order to remain successful in the future.
Anyone who wants to engage in a discourse on the global economic situation cannot avoid Asia. Economic developments in the Middle and Far East have been booming for years, and China has long been considered a new world power. This naturally presents challenges for the former "big players" America and Europe - but it also offers plenty of opportunities.
This is the approach taken by Dr. Karl Pilny, industrial engineer and professor at the bbw University of Applied Sciences, in his book "Asia 2030 - What's Blooming for the Global Economy". As a proven expert on Asia and international trade links, Dr. Pilny describes the developments that will take place in the coming years and the sometimes far-reaching changes that will affect the economy and society. At the same time, he appeals to European entrepreneurs: "It is essential to actively participate in the coming changes, to deepen the European-Asian relationship and to open up new markets at an early stage.
For his comprehensive and forward-looking prognoses, Dr. Pilny's work has now been nominated for the "GetAbstract International Book Award" 2020, which is being presented for the 20th time this year. The renowned prize is awarded to two English and two German publications each, which deal in a special way with current economic and business topics. The award will be presented at the Frankfurt Book Fair. The entire bbw team already wishes him much success!
How will the global economy develop in the coming years? Who will dominate the global race? Where is there potential for conflict, where are the opportunities? Dr. Pilny regularly presents his work "Asia 2030" in one-day seminars and gives a comprehensive and profound overview of the "Asian challenge".
