Ursula Schwill Kanzlerin der bbw Hochschule

At the beginning of October, Ursula Schwill took her position as the new Chancellor of the bbw Hochschule. Alongside the rector and the three vice rectors, Ursula Schwill is responsible for the management of the university's administration and budget. Ursula Schwill comes from the IB Hochschule für Gesundheit und Soziales. There she was Vice President for Business and Continuing Education from October 2019 to September 2021.

With a degree in business administration, she brings extensive business experience and expertise from various management positions in the areas of marketing, sales, human resources and controlling. From 2009 to 2018, Ursula Schwill held various positions of responsibility at the Technische Hochschule Brandenburg, including Head of the Centre for Permeability and Diversity and Head of the Office of Dual Studies Brandenburg. From 2018 to 2020, she was responsible for the Regional Management Central/North at the International Federation - GIS gGmbH. Parallel to her management activities, Schwill was active in teaching and as an independent consultant. Born in Westphalia, she is married and has two children.

The Rector of bbw Hochschule, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Gebhard Hafer, welcomed the new Chancellor and said: "I am very pleased that we have succeeded in bringing on board such a professionally competent colleague in Ms Schwill and in strengthening our university for future challenges with her many years of experience in science."

Ursula Schwill: "Helping to shape education is my vocation, I am very much looking forward to being able to contribute my knowledge and skills to the bbw Hochschule and to accompany the students on their way to an academic degree with the experienced and competent team of the administration."

In September of this year, Schwill's predecessor, Heide Traemann, resigned from her position as chancellor after four years to pursue new professional challenges.
