ReTraNetz-BB: Business trip to China
From 16-27 October 2023, Vice Rector Prof. Dr.-Ing. Uwe Kaschka did a business trip to China organised by the Automotive Berlin Brandenburg Association (aBB e.V.), which took him through the Chinese cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Taicang, Jiaxing and Rugao.
Together with 16 other company representatives from our region, there was an intensive programme of company visits and exchanges with vocational schools and associations. The numerous receptions focussed on networking and initiating joint activities with the Chinese partners. One of the highlights was the participation at the 7th Sino-German Automotive Congress in Jiaxing. It was impressive to see how far the automotive transformation towards electromobility, autonomous driving and digital production has already progressed in the Far East. Many innovative products and best practice solutions are now coming from China. Valuable contacts and concrete points of contact for cooperation were made for the bbw University of Applied Sciences. For example, it is conceivable that more Chinese students will study at bbw in the future or that certificate courses will be organised for Chinese companies. The first follow-up talks on this have already taken place in November.
