The bachelor is the first academic degree that can be obtained. This qualification is a good cornerstone for commencing a career within an enterprise. Of course, it always depends on the position sought, on the company and on the role, whether a bachelor is "enough" or if a master degree would also be useful. In any case, with a bachelor degree you can apply for jobs in middle management.
We can assume that's a given. The forecasts issued by the industry associations and research institutions are predicting a continued increasing need for highly qualified graduates in the coming years.
This part of the training takes place in our in-house laboratories and the laboratories at our partner university, HTW Berlin.
The bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences has its own laboratories in Berlin but also uses the labs and facilities provided by its co-operation partners. HTW Berlin is one of the locations where practical training elements are conducted.
You have the option to repeat all module examinations twice and the Bachelor's / Master's thesis once. The professors and lecturers will support you in preparing for re-examination, and as a rule you will be offered free revision courses. It is also possible to re-visit the lectures.

Applications for the Deutschlandstipendium can be made by any student at a participating German university.
The Deutschlandstipendium may be received in conjunction with another scholarship, provided the student does not receive any other talent or performance-related funding. This does not apply if the talent or performance-related funding lies below the statutory threshold of 30 Euro per month.
Funding received under the Deutschlandstipendium does not have to be repaid.
The scholarship will still be paid out if the student is spending a period abroad studying the same discipline - provided that the student finds themselves abroad during the period of the funding. This applies irrespective of any possible leave of absence from the university issuing the scholarship.
The Deutschlandstipendium will also continue if the student is studying abroad on an ERASMUS+ programme, who is also a scholarship holder in receipt of a mobility allowance from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
Yes, for example in the case of parental leave, if the student is in a maternity protection arrangement or for study abroad funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The scholarship will not be paid during this time. When studies are resumed, the grant period will be extended by the period of the leave of absence.
Secondary study programmes and advanced degree courses are in principle eligible for funding.
The universities assume the role of a central mediator. They identify the potential funders, select the scholarship holders, and arrange the funding.
Berlin is a global city that is becoming ever more attractive. Many people dream of living here. Year after year, tens of thousands move here from all over Germany and the world. This is putting ever greater pressure on the housing market in the city.
But it is still possible to find
relatively affordable apartments or flat-sharing options, with rents naturally varying from one city district to the next.
Vacant apartments are advertised in newspapers and city magazines and other publications and the majority are also posted online. Many housing companies are now specialising in housing aimed specifically at students; there are also many sites on the internet where you can find a room in an apartment.
If you require somewhere to stay at short notice, for example if you are moving to Berlin just a
short time before the start of your studies, you can explore options available at the Bürgermeister-Reuter-Stiftung [student accommodation foundation], flat-sharing agencies, backpacker hotels or at the Studentenhotel Hubertusallee:
http://brst.de/cms/home.html
Students
from abroad, in particular, can find some short-term accommodation places provided by the Max-Kade-Haus operated by the Studentenwerk Berlin [student services], which includes the International Students Centre.
Here is a selection of some of the best links for searching for housing, vacant rooms and apartments in Berlin:

After five semesters, you can qualify as a "Immobilienökonom (GdW)" (real estate economist) at the BBA (provided you fulfil the relevant criteria) and after a further three semesters, you will complete your studies at the University with the internationally recognised university degree "Bachelor of Arts".
Bachelor programmes at the bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences can be undertaken full-time with integrated practical projects or on a part-time basis. And dual study programmes are also available.
The master programmes are full-time courses but are organised in such a way to also make them attractive to professionals (Real Estate Project Management and Management of Creative Industries).
Even if it has been a while since your last English lesson or if you do not have any previous knowledge, the University’s teaching staff will prepare you for employing the language. We also recommend that students undertake an elective language course. bbw’s School of Languages at the “Bildungswerk der Aktiengesellschaft” has various options for you, for example ( www.wir-lieben-sprachen.de ).
Yes, we offer a pre-degree maths course designed to refresh and reinforce course content. More information on request.
Yes, Spanish is offered as an elective module as part of the study programme Economics and Business Management - Tourismmanagement. Linguistic courses in other languages can be optionally arranged depending on demand.
Yes, after examining the equivalence of the studies in question, the bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences will recognise academic performance achieved at another university. Achievements outside of the university system that can be taken into account, include skills acquired as part of a vocational training and further training programme (leading to qualification as Meister [master technician], state certified .... , accredited ....), provided that certificates can be provided.
Anyone who is undertaking a vocational course and has already received BAFöG funding for it, can still receive BAföG funding for a subsequent university course of study.
The maximum rate of funding is 643 Euro. Additional allowances will also be granted for health insurance and housing. The rate of the BAföG funding depends on income and wealth, including that belonging to parents. Applications are limited to students under the age of 30. The funding is paid out in the form of a loan and must be repaid within 20 years.

No, unfortunately the real estate market situation in Berlin makes its infeasible for bbw to run its own halls of residence for students. See the "Living in Berlin" FAQs for various ways in which you can find affordable accommodation in Berlin.
Yes, in principle this is possible at any university because of your bbw student status. This also applies to using sporting facilities and libraries.
As a student under 30 years of age, you are legally obliged to insure yourself with public or private health insurance.
If you are not family-insured, it is possible to take out discounted student health insurance with most health insurance companies. The tariffs may vary from one insurance provider to another. The best way is to check the current rate with your health insurance company.
If you are privately insured, proof that you are exempt from the statutory insurance obligation is required (available from the statutory health insurance of your choice).
