Welcome Days of our Internationals

Welcome to Berlin and Welcome to the bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences. This year, our International Office once again organized a three-day experience programme for the new international students. In addition to the Opening Ceremony, the international students were welcomed to an information event on studying at our university and living in Germany. After the Opening Ceremony, there was a great get-Togther in Vonder Berlin, around the corner of the university, where the internationals could exchange ideas with the nationals and get to know each other. A very special highlight of the Welcome Days was the City Tour accompanied by the International Office. The bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences thus offered its international students an eventful start into the new winter semester and a varied programme to warm up.

The first day began at the university. Here the team of the International Office and two representatives of the student parliament welcomed the new, international students. They come from India, Russia, Jordan, Iran, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Morocco, Vietnam, Ireland, Israel and Spain to complete a Bachelor's or Master's degree in International Technology Transfer Management, Business Management and Engineering, Strategic Management in Logistics or Management of Creative Industries with us and to live in Berlin for at least two years. Students received the necessary information about studying and living in the metropolis of Berlin over three days at various information events at the university. The most important event of the programme took place on the second day, October 8, at the Haus der Wirtschaft - the Opening Ceremony. The welcoming speeches, held by our head of studies, Prof. Dr. Thoralf Buller, our rector, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Gebhard Hafer and our chancellor, Heide Traemann, ensured that all new students admitted to the bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences got off to a successful start in their studies at our university. In order to get to know each other better and to learn something about our city and its history, the third day was a very informative Guided City Tour. Afterwards, the students were able to enjoy Berlin's nightlife to the full - a successful conclusion after the three days.
