Announcement of the 15th TSM Workshop

Total Supplier Management Workshop

Total Supplier Management - Digitalisation and Data Management as the Engine of Successful Supplier Risk Prevention

New technologies, short innovation cycles and increasing digitalisation of products and processes pose new challenges for today's companies. The digitalisation of supplier management using artificial intelligence and business analytics creates a more stable supplier base and, above all, a competitive advantage. In order to achieve this, companies need a comprehensive overview of their internal data landscape as well as planning how it can be used optimally. The aim is not to accumulate a large amount of data, but to use an efficient system of key performance indicators to monitor the supplier base preventively and holistically.

Traditionally, suppliers deliver components that are integrated into products. In future business models, products will have a high digital content, which will make many additional product functions and services possible. The digitalisation and networking of these product functions requires their monitoring in real time, even during use by the customer. Thus, the evaluation of the performance contribution of suppliers to product use will also have to be expanded accordingly. Intelligent analysis methods and digital tools such as forecasting models and pattern recognition for sustainable supplier risk management will be presented at the workshop.

The bbw Hochschule will host the now 15th TSM workshop as a hybrid event on 11 November 2021 together with the BME Region Berlin/Brandenburg. Representatives from industry and trade, start-ups and science will report on the current developments in risk prevention in supplier management. We will discuss innovative, digital methods and what experiences companies have made in introducing holistic supplier management.

Date: 11 November 2021
Time: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Venue: Presence in Berlin with online stream.

Participation is free of charge. The event is aimed at all specialists and managers from purchasing, quality and logistics. Please register under the following link: https://berlinbrandenburg.bme.de/veranstaltungen/3154
