In May, the bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences welcomed Prof. Dr.-Ing. Robert Dust as its new Professor for International Technology Transfer Management. Prof. Dust will support the Department of Industrial Engineering in the future. Here, he will bring his professional experience as well as his extensive network of companies and suppliers, especially from the automotive sector, which he has built up over the years.
For more than 15 years, Prof. Dust worked in management positions in the automotive industry for globally operating groups such as the BMW Group, Porsche AG and Mercedes Benz Technology Consulting. He then held the professorship for Supply Chain Management at Heilbronn University for three years. Afterwards, Prof. Dust moved to Berlin to the Technical University (TU Berlin), where he held the professorship for quality strategy and quality competence for five years.
Prof. Dust's expertise lies in particular in organizational and process development to design and secure innovative technologies and digital business models in global partner networks, in Total Supplier Management - interdisciplinary methods to secure innovations and value creation along the entire supply chain and product lifecycle, as well as in Use Case Monitoring - preventive knowledge management for process reliability of future digital services and cross-sector business models and in the creation of process cost models as a prerequisite for the economic evaluation and control of value creation systems according to TCO approaches.
In his teaching, Prof. Dust will not only apply his scientific expertise, but also incorporate his practical experience. The bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences is very much looking forward to working with Prof. Dust and wishes him all the best.
