Industry 4.0 - how does it work!? Training projects, new content and the sum of the value creation process

To expand the level of knowledge on the subject of Industry 4.0 together and to exchange best practice solutions and experiences, representatives of companies of all sizes, business associations, educational institutions and schools from Germany came to the Haus der Wirtschaft in Berlin on the occasion of the "2nd Industry 4.0 Conference" on 31st May 2018. "This joint event is an important platform for the exchange of experiences and current developments in the field of industrial-technical training and further education. The event, which is held jointly every two years by the bbw, MTS, BIBB, UVW and GIZ, focus in particular on questions of the requirements of Industry 4.0," said Prof. Dr.-Ing. Gebhard Hafer, the rector of the bbw University of Applied Sciences.

It was very exciting to learn how Bosch Rexroth AG organizes training and further education on the subject. MAN Augsburg reported on the special operational requirements in training projects. MTS talked about the requirements of the CNC learning content and its integration into its own MTS-CNC software, the UVB presented their digital lab, the BiBB reported on the first steps on the way to the partial revision of the professions of the metal and electrical industry. Information was also provided on funding opportunities for training projects on the topic of Industry 4.0 and, finally, the consequences of Industry 4.0 for international vocational training cooperation were discussed.

The 2nd Symposium Industry 4.0 was a joint event of MTS (Mathematisch Technische-Softwareentwicklung GmbH), UVB (Unternehmensverbände Berlin-Brandenburg) and bbw - supported by GIZ and BiBB.
