From 15 February 2021 to 19 February 2021, bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences organised a digital student exchange on the topic of Industry 4.0 in cooperation with the French
irup University
. In the one-week course format, bbw Hochschule welcomed eleven Bachelor students from St. Etienne online.
For the French students, part of the exchange programme initially consisted of participating in some regular courses of the international degree programme "
International Technology Transfer Management
". To this end, the students took part in courses on "Basics of Business Administration" with Dr. Shafighi, "Smart Factory and Digitalized Production" with Prof. Dust and "Leadership, Change and Intercultural Management" with Ms. Schultheiss and were able to work interactively in the courses and learn a lot of new content in cooperation with the students of bbw Hochschule.
In addition, the exchange students were offered individual events. Mr. Prof. Kaschka gave a lecture on
Industry 4.0 - Digital Transformation Process and Ms. Prof. Kunz on
Digital Technology Transfer and Innovation. In addition, bbw Start-up Center PUSH held an event on the topic of "Entrepreneurship in Berlin".
The aim of the exchange programme was not only a transfer of knowledge and the teaching of new content, but also the strengthening of effective group and cooperation. To this end, the exchange students were given a group project on the topic of "Digital Transformation" at the beginning, on which they were to work regularly at specified time slots.
For effective collaboration, the exchange students were provided with a course room in the learning portal Moodle, where they could organise their group project in addition to accessing their online courses and had access to all important documents at all times. In the final event, the results of the group work were presented and evaluated by the students.
At the end of the week, the students were able to convince with innovative results and successfully complete the programme. bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences would like to thank them for the great cooperation and is already looking forward to the next joint exchange - whether as an online event or in person.
