International general DAAD Prize

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers German universities such as bbw University of Applied Sciences the opportunity to honour their foreign students for outstanding achievements and places the selection of the award-winners in the responsibility of the universities. For bbw University of Applied Sciences, the DAAD Prize is the most important honor awarded to foreign students.

This prize honours students with outstanding academic achievements and remarkable social - especially intercultural - commitment. For the awarded students, this prize means recognition of their academic achievements by one of the most renowned scholarship organizations in the Federal Republic of Germany. The DAAD Prize has been awarded for over ten years now and comes with prize money of EUR 1.000 per university. The aim is to give faces to the many international students at German universities and link them with their stories. This illustrates that each international student takes a piece of Germany with them when they return to their homeland and also leaves something of themselves in Germany - thus enriching both sides. The prize is also for making it clear to a wider public how enriching foreign students are for the university community.

You are also very good at your studies? Are you involved in other social projects besides your studies?
Then get in touch with your favourite lecturer or professor and ask for a letter of recommendation and apply for the DAAD Prize!
