Prof. Dr.-Ing. Norman Höltz - new professor for International Technology Transfer Management

Since June, the bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences has been welcoming Prof. Dr.-Ing. Norman Höltz as its new Professor of International Technology Transfer Management. This means that the Faculty of Industrial Engineering has been strengthened with a total of three new professors in May and June.

Prof. Höltz completed his studies in Industrial Engineering at the Technical University of Berlin. At the Brandenburg Technical University (BTU) Cottbus, Prof. Höltz completed his doctorate at the Chair of Production Management on the subject of "Lean Logistics Maturity Model: a maturity model for evaluating lean intralogistic corporate structures".

After completing his doctorate, Prof. Höltz moved abroad to South Africa, where he spent the first two years as manager for Bilfinger Power Africa Pty Ltd. Subsequently, Prof. Höltz founded his company aparate South Africa Pty Ltd in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2015. aparate focuses on digital solutions to strengthen, promote and network small farmers and up-and-coming farmers in (South) Africa. As a co-founder of Smart Soil Technologies GmbH, Prof. Höltz returns to his home, Berlin. Smart Soil Technologies creates intelligent and biocompatible agricultural technologies to maximize crop yields while protecting the environment.
