Appointment of Prof. Brunotte as Head of the Industrial Engineering Department

On 01 January 2021, Prof. Dr.-Ing. René Brunotte took over as department head in the field of industrial engineering from Prof. Dr.-Ing. Uwe Kaschka. In addition to his new responsibility as department head, Prof. Brunotte will continue to be there for the students as an anchor professor for the Bachelor's degree programme in Business Management and Engineering. With Prof. Brunotte, a highly esteemed professor of many years' standing has taken over as department head. He has been working at bbw Hochschule since 2009 as a professor in the Business Engineering and Engineering Sciences subject groups. In addition to his competences in university teaching, he has always pushed research activities/patent, among others as head of the fib research institute of bbw Hochschule.

Prof. Brunotte: "I am pleased to be able to take over the leadership of this specialist group, which has grown strongly in recent years. The aim is to further develop and expand the specialist group and I am looking forward to working with my colleagues."

Thanks to his many years of practical experience, research activities and teaching activities, Prof. Brunotte can draw on a large network of experts and entrepreneurs and also actively brings this into his teaching.
