bbw University of Applied Sciences: DAAD Scholarships for Students from Kharkiv

The bbw University of Applied Sciences awarded 15 students from the State University of Railway Transport Kharkiv (UkrSURT) with the DAAD scholarship "Ukraine Digital: Ensuring Academic Success in Times of Crisis (2024)". The award ceremony took place on March 11, 2024, as part of a celebratory online welcome event in the presence of the university's rector, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Gebhard Hafer.
In addition to the financial support provided by the scholarships, bbw University of Applied Sciences also offers lectures in the field of railway transportation and logistics, consisting of six modules with over 70 participating students per semester.
During the ceremony, all attendees became aware of the challenging situation that Ukrainian students are currently facing, particularly in light of the ongoing air raids and severe attacks in the region around Kharkiv. In response to these difficult circumstances, bbw University of Applied Sciences reiterated its commitment to supporting students and further strengthening academic exchange with universities in Ukraine.
