What is it about?
Help shape the future of sustainable buildings and intelligent infrastructure and combine technology, business and the environment into holistic solutions for the built environment of tomorrow. In our Master’s programme „Sustainability and Smart Building Technology“ you develop a deep understanding of energy-efficient, digital and user-oriented building technologies.
You learn how buildings are operated efficiently and optimised sustainably through smart technologies, data and innovative systems, and how existing building stock can be developed further technologically in order to conserve resources and reduce emissions.
With the Master of Science you qualify for responsible positions in the development, planning and management of sustainable and intelligent building and real estate projects.

The programme focuses on forward-looking technologies in the real estate industry – from user-friendly and sustainable building design through automation to the technological development of existing building stock.

Career & prospects
Graduates find a wide range of positions in real estate and property management – for example at housing companies, asset and property management firms, project developers, real estate service providers as well as consulting and valuation companies. PropTech start-ups offer particularly good prospects; setting up your own business is also an option.
Admission requirements
You need a first university degree (Bachelor's or higher) and English language skills at level B2* of the Common European Framework of Reference.
The tuition fee amounts to 4 instalments of EUR 3,840.00 each. Applicants from non-EU countries also pay a registration fee of EUR 250. The application deadlines are 15 February (summer semester) and 15 August (winter semester).
*B2 English Language Certificate (IELTS min. 5.5; TOEFL iBT min. 72; PTE min. 59)
Further admission requirements:
- At least one year of professional experience in a related field.
- A state-recognised first professionally qualifying degree from a university of applied sciences (Bachelor's or higher) in one of the following or a similar subject:

Fees
Monthly payment for German nationals: 24 instalments of EUR 640.00
Payment per semester for international students: 4 instalments of EUR 3,840.00
Registration fee for non-EU citizens: EUR 250.00
