What is it about?
Help shape the future of security, protection and defence. In the Bachelor’s programme „Mechatronics – Special Technology“ you acquire the mathematical, physical and electrical engineering fundamentals and get to know a broad range of mechatronics subjects – from materials science, engineering mechanics and thermodynamics through to drive and automation technology.
Added to this are the special-technology core fields of ballistics, detonics, optronics and short-time measurement technology. You also build transferable skills for academic work and can acquire specific non-academic additional qualifications that speed up your entry into the profession.
The Mechatronics – Special Technology programmes focus on reconnaissance, effect and protection and deal with technologies and procedures used in security and defence technology as well as in disaster and civil protection, occupational safety, accident research and forensics.
Focus areas & modules
- Mathematical, physical & electrical engineering fundamentals
- Materials science & engineering mechanics
- Fundamentals of chemistry & thermodynamics
