All teaching content is taught according to the latest teaching methods and in networked application. Since our professors and lecturers come from the industry, they can integrate their experience and their network into their teaching in a particularly practical way. In addition, lectures, case studies and specialist debates parallel to specialist internships, excursions and guest lectures are formative elements of the course. In addition to classroom instruction, the acquired specialist knowledge is reflected and applied in self-study, in group work and in accompanying learning (eLearning). The different life and professional backgrounds of the students are seen as an important enrichment.
"Management of Business Digitalisation" is an interdisciplinary degree programme that draws on the fields of economics and computer science while focusing on the core area of business application informatics. The aim of the degree is to impart a broad, cross-sectional qualification in informatics and business administration by using the latest scientific findings and methods while applying the procedures of practice-oriented teaching. In order to take into account its international scope, the programme contains elective modules in business-oriented foreign language studies in either German for non-German speakers, or Russian or Chinese (Mandarin) for German speakers (only one language has to be chosen).
Graduates of the programme enter the workforce with a broad methodological competence along with specialist key competencies that enable them to systematically analyse problems occurring in the workplace. Graduates will also be able to design and implement information technology systems in line with the latest technical and scientific advancements, and to integrate them in a system environment. Furthermore, graduates will be in a position to develop new solutions as well as to evaluate existing solutions by considering them from different standards and in situations where requirements are frequently changing.
