(Bachelor of Arts)

Youth social work, integration assistance, health promotion and rehabilitation are among the new social fields of activity that have further increased the need for social work professionals in recent years. In the International Social Work degree programme, you will gain specialised knowledge in the field of psychology as well as introductions to sociological and pedagogical principles, among other things, in addition to social science basics. In order to prepare you for the fast-moving changes in the needs of social society and its demands, a focus is placed on current socio-political topics during the degree programme. This enables you, as a future professional, to remain capable of acting in professional practice despite constantly changing social conditions and to be able to respond more quickly to new requirements.

The Social Work degree programme with an international focus offers students the opportunity to go beyond the borders of Germany and to dedicate themselves to development cooperation, social work in other countries and cross-border social work (human rights, global migration, gender justice) in their future careers.
