On top position: Two Master's programmes of the bbw University of Applied Sciences in the CHE ranking

"Strategic Management in Logistics (M.Sc.)" and "Management of Creative Industries (M.A.)" are among the best Master's programs in Germany in the category International Orientation.

With 10 and 7 out of 11 points our two international Master's programmes were among the top courses evaluated by the Centre for Higher Education Development (CHE) - above all with regard to the international orientation of the two modular programmes, with courses mainly held in English and a high proportion of foreign students. We are very pleased about this. Also because not all the information that the bbw university could provide in the meantime was available during the data collection period: For example, since 2018 there have been the first graduates of the Master's programme "Management of Creative Industries (MCI)" who are 100% in employment. For the Double Degree Master "Strategic Management in Logistics", too, we can now provide more concrete information - e.g. in the category of labour market and occupational relevance - which would have brought further advantages for the assessment. Where one or two question marks still stood at the time of data collection, the following facts could now stand:

Topic-related research assignments have been/will be carried out with the support of students (see bbw University Research Report 2015/16).
External practitioners: As everywhere at the bbw university, many lecturers teach here with a current, direct practical relevance, because, for example, many professors are employed part-time in management positions in companies of all sizes or even run their own companies. Our teaching staff maintain close contact with the business world on a regular basis.
Theses in exchange with the practice: Concrete practical problems are regularly the subject or have their origin in partner companies of the bbw university.
Contact with professional practice in the degree programme: In addition to the indicators already mentioned, regular excursions to regional companies in the sector take place (see Facebook page of the bbw University of Applied Sciences).

Degrees within a reasonable period of time: predominantly after the standard period of study of 2 years.
Stays abroad: They were awarded 1 out of 5 points - but almost 100% of the students have a Bachelor's degree that they obtained abroad - making further stays abroad unnecessary.
Contact with professional practice - internships: not necessary because almost 100 % of students work in the industry alongside their studies
External practitioners: At the bbw university, a large number of teachers teach with direct practical relevance - many of the professors work part-time in management positions in companies of all sizes or run their own companies.
Theses in exchange with practice: A large part of the Master's theses is based on topics from the practice of our students' original companies.
