They incorporate their networks into the lectures with a strong focus on practical elements.The course consists of lectures, seminars and excursions. In addition, eLearning (up to 25 % of study time) and online lectures provide flexibility and individuality.
Upon completion of the master's programme, graduates have acquired knowledge of the social conditions of vocational schools, teaching and vocational teacher education. They are able to design vocational teaching and learning processes, develop and promote individual educational processes and are schooled in vocational science. They have the ability to plan, implement and reflect on learning sequences based on didactic models and concepts as well as curriculum theory considerations.
They possess subject and school type-related knowledge and skills in the processes of teaching and learning as well as in the theory-based planning, implementation and evaluation of teaching in the vocational field. They are capable of accessing both the practical field of teaching at vocational schools as well as areas of extracurricular educational practice.
Graduates have an in-depth scientific understanding of central topics and issues in vocational education and can systematically and scientifically address relevant topics and issues in vocational education in order to contribute to theory development. They have a vocational pedagogically reflected know-how of central specifications and developments in vocational education and are able to describe, compare and evaluate national and international developments in vocational education.
