Corporate Communications

As in the entire business sector, the (corporate) communications sector is characterized by increasing professionalization, dynamics, and heterogeneity. More than ever, this business sector is looking for "doers” with business skills, leadership abilities, and strong personalities. To fulfill these qualifications, it is important to be able to show up-to-date, practical knowledge of the communications sector against a background of the decisive criteria of modern business management.

The Corporate Communication course focuses on an integrated, management-oriented understanding of communication. This business-orientated approach qualifies graduates for diverse tasks at middle-management level, in corporate and marketing communication as well as in all communication-oriented management roles. At the operative level of business, graduates are qualified to conceptually design and implement the variety of arising internal and external communications tasks.

Graduates' fields of work include: Customer communication; advertising; customer relationship management; corporate publishing; event management; corporate communication; i.e. stakeholder relations; media work; employee communications; public relations; communication roles in public administration, in associations, in politics and non-profit organizations; (business) journalism; and corporate consulting.

The degree course structure and conceptual content are therefore precisely oriented towards the diverse responsibilities and needs of contemporary and future (business) management. A successful completion of this course leads to a synergistic, integrated, and management-oriented grasp of the design, implementation, and development of corporate and marketing communication.

The program builds a bridge between theory and research to the specific handling of practical applications. The course concept is designed to allow and enable students to contribute questions and vocational or practical case studies. This type of didactics contributes to the goal of directly bringing theoretical understanding into the context of the real environment.

The encouragement of key individual and social qualifications plays a particular role, including personal communication and conflict-resolution skills, and pronounced rhetorical abilities and presentation skills, which are all essential to the requirement profile for corporate communication.

Please be aware that this course is only offerd in german language!
